LPC Printing Appointed Beta Site Status for Prinect Pressroom Manager

British company LPC Printing has been selected as beta test site for Heidelberg’s Prinect Integration System production software. The Hythe company has been a very keen supporter of JDF workflows, speaking at the INNOV8 theatre at IPEX about how workflow has secured its profitability.

Print Matrix Paves the Way for Expansion with two Press Order

Print Matrix in Colchester has placed a two press order with Heidelberg to update its B3 press line up. Out goes a Ryobi 522 but coming in to run alongside a single-colour GTO is a Printmaster PM 52-4 and a QM 46-2.

Fox Print Services had expected to buy a Speedmaster XL 105 to take it into the B1 market but the company surprised itself by ordering a Speedmaster CD 74 as well when it visited IPEX on Monday.

Philip Myers Completes Purchase of Long Perfector
|
Philip Myers Press has signed an order with Heidelberg for a Speedmaster SM 102-10P.
The company has been very pleased with the 12-colour Speedmaster it installed two years ago and realised that to compete in the mid to long run commercial printing arena it needed to update its six-colour B1 press. The 12-colour frequently handles more than a million sheets a week.

Anton Places Giant £8m Order with Heidelberg
|
The Anton Group is negotiating the lease of a new 160,000 sq ft plant in Dunton, near Basildon, to provide space to run six 12-colour presses in a line. All 300 plus staff will transfer from the existing plants (seven premises) which totalled 75,000 sq ft. Some staff will be retrained but, through investment and a clear business strategy, the company continues to grow.

Oriel Seizes a Window of Opportunity with £4m UV Press and Prepress Order
|
Oriel Printing has signed a major £4m plus order with Heidelberg for two CD 102 dedicated UV presses, a seven- and a six-colour and both with coaters and extended delivery and interdeck drying capability between every unit. With an emphasis on quality it has also specified ImageControl spectrophotometry linked via Prinect PrintReady software to a new Suprasetter 105 giving it closed loop colour.

ABC “Elated” to Be the First to Order the Speedmaster SM 52-10P

The UK’s first B3 ten-colour press and the world’s first 5:5 B3 perfector is destined for trade printer ABC Print. The SM 52-10P being demonstrated for the first time at IPEX will be shipped across to the Hereford plant at the end of the show.
