A POLAR 66 will be delivered to a Cornish printing operation housed in a barn bought from Prince Charles and converted. Graham Slater, founder and managing director of Polpentre Design & Print, has always chosen POLAR guillotines because of their reliability which is vital to a company operating from the wilds of Cornwall.
The new POLAR which arrives next month replaces a 16 year old version. "The latest version POLAR 66 can cut a bigger sheet, is more programmable and there is more space for work and turn on the front bed," says Mr Slater.
Polpentre Design & Print takes work from around the UK but has especially good sales in Oxford, London and Cornwall. It produces books and work for health authorities and social services but it can also handle brochures, leaflets, stationery and other general commcercial work.
The husband and wife team operates out of Liskeard with two other staff, running 12 hours a day. Polpentre has been a business for 25 years.
