Heidelberg is offering tailored Service Agreements which cover Safety Examinations on peripheral materials handling equipment (joggers, stackers, loading and lifting equipment) as well as guillotine Safety Inspections. It is mandatory in the UK to have guillotine safety inspections (Regulation 6 of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998) but it is also important to comply with the materials handling elements which are covered by Regulation 9 of the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER). Bob Higgins, customer service marketing manager, says: "Our engineers are Polar factory trained and certified as competent before they are able to undertake the half yearly audits which comprise a whole series of performance checks and tests." Heidelberg's Certified Safety Inspections and Examinations meet the requirements of the Health & Safety legislation and ensure safe working conditions for operators of Polar equipment. These checks are a form of preventative maintenance which ensure the Polar guillotines and peripheral equipment continues to run at maximum efficiency. Annual guillotine safety inpsection/preventative maintenance agreements (including two visits) are available from 450 pounds and peripheral equipment from 82 pounds. Monthly direct debit and other bespoke arrangements can be discussed on application.
