dsicmm talisman is to extend its battery of latest technology print facilities with a three-million-pound investment in two new highly automated Heidelberg presses.
This current investment in high-speed, high-automation, high-quality litho complements the company’s major investments in high-speed digital technology earlier this year. dsicmm’s fully up-to-date array of production technology and software enables the company to cover all the needs of its growing customer base, providing a range of litho and digital capabilities that delivers true, objective customer choice.
The current investment comprises two Heidelberg presses, a Speedmaster SM 102-12-P with CutStar and a SM 74-6-P+L, delivered in September, all helping the company to grow its 130-million-pound direct communications printing operation.
dsicmm supports a wide variety of markets, with particular strengths in industries such as financial services, telecommunication, travel and retail, across applications including direct marketing campaigns, transactional communications, promotional campaigns, collateral and internal communications.
Managing Director of print services, Dave Reynolds, says: "We have a policy of guaranteeing maximum customer support through advances in technology to increase efficiency and retain top quality. We have always reinvested to stay ahead of the game.
"This is the company’s debut in long perfecting. Having the potential for single-pass full colour, including specials and seals, will take us into extra markets and applications.
"CutStar will give us economies in paper purchasing, enabling us to cut paper to the size of the job. We estimate we could reduce our paper spending by 10 to 15 percent with this reel-to-sheet facility," says Mr Reynolds.
The dsicmm group as a whole offers a truly multimedia service, including data management, digital and litho printing, mailing and fulfilment.
