A St Austell company which attributes its growth to a focus on service is increasing its capacity by 40 percent by making a move to full colour production.
Nationwide Print has this month installed a Speedmaster SM 52-5 to replace a two-colour model. Now the company will have the SM 52-5, an SM 52-2 and a Printmaster QM 46. A Polar 92X, a direct replacement for an older model, has also gone in.
The press order was won against stiff competition from Ryobi. Managing Director Julian Hocking says: “I honestly feel this press is the best in its class. I love the quality, speed, efficiency flexibility and longevity. Also the deal Heidelberg put to us was in line with anything their rivals could offer.”
From its customers point of view the real benefit of this latest investment is that Nationwide Print can offer even faster delivery because of the quicker makereadies and higher productivity achievable with single pass production. The fifth colour will be used for specials or seals.
It has a comprehensive range of work to produce including corporate brochures, reports and city work through to letterheads and promotional material.
“We pride ourselves on a service. We return calls and deliver a top class product on time,” says Mr Hocking. “Quality of product is linked to both investment and staff. Our equipment is all under three years old and our staff are good and loyal – we haven’t lost an employee for years. We are an ambitious, tightly knit team.”
