Technology Top-Ups Offer Demos, Prizes and Behind the Scenes Tours

20.09.2005
Heidelberg’s Brentford Headquarters is undergoing refurbishment and printers can be part of the official opening event by visiting the Technology Top-up there on 18-20 October 2005.

Originally opened by Lord Chalfont in 1983, the Brentford showroom is now undergoing its first major refit in 22 years. What was the digital press room now becomes a customer reception area and presentation suite where the full range of Prinect products can then be shown to maximum effect. Prinect tours to show just what JDF networking means in live production situations will be given in Brentford and at the other Technology Top ups in Leeds and Tamworth venues.

Also at Brentford there will be the first ever chance of a behind the scenes tour. You can view the customer service department, see how the parts orders are handled, packed and shipped and take a look inside the technical department. Tours depart 11.30 am and 2.30 pm daily.

Printers attending any of Heidelberg’s Technology Top-ups (at the Leeds Technology Centre 11-13 October; Brentford 18-20 October; and Tamworth 1-3 November) will have the chance to win a trip to Heidelberg for two, including first class accommodation and dinner at the Restaurant Schoenmehl set inside the famous castle and an optional factory tour.

Highlights at Leeds include a full polyester and metal CtP range including Polyester, Prosetter, Topsetter and Suprasetter models and the latest Stitchmaster ST 350 saddlestitcher. Bridging these two ends of production will be the new Speedmaster CD 74-10P long perfector with Prinect ImageControl spectrophotometry as well as a Printmaster QM 46 and a Printmaster PM 52-5P.

Brentford will match Leeds with a comprehensive CtP offering and it will show the top of the range Stichmaster ST 400 saddlestitcher. In addition to all the press models shown in Leeds (though the Printmaster PM 52 presses on show are in two and four-colour configuration) will be a Speedmaster SM 52-5L five-colour with coater. Prinect AxisControl, the entry level on press spectrophotometry, will be shown alongside Prinect ImageControl.

The Speedmaster XL 105 will have its display at Tamworth where a six-colour version will be shown alongside a Printmaster QM 46-2, Speedmaster SM 52-5 and a Speedmaster CD 74-6 with UV coating. Prinect AxisControl and Prinect ImageControl will be shown here as well. The POLAR 137 will be shown with PACE automation and the Stitchmaster ST 400 will also be on show. Prosetter, Suprasetter and Topsetter technology will run with single cassette loading to show the efficiencies of automated CtP.
