Dippon Dips into Litho with Plans to Build a Triple Process Business |

Dippon Labels will make its debut in offset litho next month in a move to offer its customers commercial printing.
The 25 year old Birmingham company will take delivery of a Heidelberg Printmaster PM 74-2 in August with plans to add a six-colour press later this year.
Managing Director Mr Dilip Shah says: “We currently produce letterpress and flexo labels up to eight colours with foil blocking options for the pharmaceutical, health, food, drinks, transport and commercial industries and for the French wine producers’ market.
“We have built a reputation for very fast response, often next day delivery, by having design and photographic services in house. With the venture into litho we will be adding to our one stop shop and offer customers commercial printing to meet their needs for advertising, information and point of sale leaflets.”
The company has opted for a B2 press to maximise output and therefore maintain its reputation for delivering orders quickly. There are plans for a six colour press to be purchased to recognise the need amongst its customers to produce in one pass.
Mr Shah adds: “We have chosen Heidelberg because of their build quality, reliability and residual value”
The company is also purchasing a POLAR 78X guillotine to complement the B2 press.
Dippon will train its operators to work across the different processes and shift working is being planned to further enhance the service to its customers.
